If you would like just to talk to the doctor on the phone before committing to an appointment, Dr. Wilson will be happy to call you. There is no charge for this call, and no obligation.

Make an Appointment

Most of our patients prefer to have their consultation and vasectomy in a single office visit. This is particularly convenient for the couple who has no serious doubt about their decision. You may call us to request an appointment time that is convenient for you. Then download the Informational Booklet (pdf) or request that we mail it to you. Read the information, and if you have questions please call us at 206.525.4090. Dr. Wilson will be happy to talk with you by phone to address any specific concerns you have ahead of time.

You may choose to schedule an initial consultation appointment with Dr. Wilson to discuss your own situation, vasectomy, other birth control choices, and whatever questions you would like to address. Your partner is encouraged to attend the visit and ask her questions, too. Dr. Wilson will do a physical exam and show you exactly what to expect during the procedure. This separate visit is especially appropriate for patients who may have been referred by their doctor because of significant or complicating medical conditions or prior surgery or abnormality in the scrotal area.

Insurance and Billing

Most health insurance plans cover vasectomy. Your own coverage and benefits will be determined by your insurance policy. When you provide us with your policy number, our staff will check with your plan to verify your coverage and benefits and determine what your share will be.

We are a contracted provider with more than 80 insurance plans, and with DSHS (Medicaid). We bill them directly and accept their payments and adjustments as determined by their contract terms, which are different for each plan. We will collect your co-pay and deductible at the time of your visit.

To help us serve you, please call us or fax or mail your policy information in advance of your appointment.

If you do not have insurance coverage, or if you choose not to use insurance, the cash fee for vasectomy including consultation and after-test is $940.00 payable by cash, check, or VISA/MC at the time of your visit.

Deposit

We ask for a deposit of $50.00 when you schedule your appointment. It will be refunded at your visit or you may apply it to your balance. It is retained as a broken appointment fee only if you do not keep your appointment. It is completely refundable if you cancel or reschedule with at least 48 hours notice. Insurance does not cover broken appointment fees.
